At its core:
BattleBlock Theater is a platform sport developed by The Behemoth and printed by Microsoft Sport Studios for Xbox 360. It’s the third title from The Behemoth following Alien Hominid and Citadel Crashers.
The sport begins with the participant character and his good friend Hatty Hattington turning into shipwrecked on a mysterious, seemingly deserted island. Nevertheless, upon investigation, the island is revealed to be inhabited by technologically superior cats. The cats, who power their prisoners into lethal theater performances, watch with amusement because the participant fights for his survival. Hatty, in the meantime, is given an odd high hat. Showing to be possessed by the hat’s unknown powers, Hatty begins working for the cats and towards the participant.
